About This Chapter
This chapter opens on the second floor of the government building. It is obvious that the government does not have enough money to keep up with all the activity going on in the city. The women are trying to figure out a way to overthrow the government, but they are unable to do so because the cements are coming down from the top of the building. They have no other option, and the only way out of this situation is to attack the central tower. They finally manage to get to the top, where they find Bom, who has been infected with the plague. He tells Bom to stop the plague, but Bom refuses, saying that he will protect his family. Bom says that he has done a lot of good in his life, but he misses his parents, his sister, and his big brother. He says that the gods sent him through these trials, and that each of them has been born in sin. He gives the vial of the vaccine to Bom in exchange for his life. The vial contains all the vaccine that was left, and Bom promises to give it to anyone who will give him the life he deserves. The gods sent the humans through the trials, he says, so that they would be able to find the one who would know how to end all wars. He adds that he brought the files from daba with him, and he will take them over to him. He promises to protect Bom and the other men. He also promises that the children will know where to go if they need protection.
