About This Chapter
Miura asks if she can come back for spring break. Miura says she'll come back, but she doesn't want to spend too much money on the trip. She tells Miura that she's waiting for him at the club, and Miura tells her that he's been injured the day before, and that he can't walk very well. She asks Miura if he'll be able to go back to work, and he says he'd like to, but Miura is worried about him. He tells her to go to the refugee center, where they're holding the smallpox vaccine, because there's no place for him to go. He's worried about the reaction of his men, but they seem to be following the protocol, Miura points out. He asks if he can have the smallpox in his house, and she says no, since it's not allowed in residential areas. He says he won't tell anyone about it, but he does want Miura to keep it in her house, so she can use it on the field. She says she was a good soccer player, and now she wants to be a good neighbor, and so she eats her vegetables, but the vegetables aren't good for her health. She thinks the place isn't a good place to be, because no one passes through without paying, and no one has food stamps or identification cards, so Miura has to pay to get through. She's happy to be in charge of the place, but her name is "shota kondo" , and they all end up dead in the same grave.
