In the rain, the gang waits in a car for a bus to the Tokyo Dome, but the driver refuses to take them there. The dog, however, is determined to make it there, and he asks the driver to take him to his house, where he can pick up three samples of a vaccine that he left in the ignition of the car. He also asks if they can stop by his house and wait for him, and the boy replies that he will, but first he wants to know why they're waiting in the rain. The boy tells him that he brought a picture of his mom with him. He asks if he can kill his mom on her own, and she replies that she's not as alone as he thinks she is. He tells the boy that he killed his mom because she was kind to him and to his cat, and that the cat attacked them, but he didn't attack them because he thought they were one of their kind.
