Winter has passed, and the new year arrives with new cubs. One wolf is still missing, and his mother is determined to find him. The next day, little wolf sets off for her first hunt. She follows the herd until she reaches the river, where she encounters a calf. The calf gives birth to a litter of pups. Little wolf lays her quarry for the pups on the ground.
