SUITE II: THE WOLF & THE HARE
This is a locked chapterSUITE II: THE WOLF & THE HARE
About This Chapter
The wolf is playing with the hare when she sees the pack getting smaller and smaller. She asks the wolf if he can pretend to be her and run away. The wolf says that he will probably need another season before his father allows him to hunt. He tells the wolf that his presence protects him from coyotes and that he promises not to eat the wolf. When the wolf asks if she can tell him a secret, she says that she hopes that she never meets her pack. She says that it is the best time of the year to imagine things. Sometimes she pretends to be another animal, like the hare, or another spirit, like her father. She also says that sometimes she wants to play a game in her head, like pretending to be a leveret when she was a child.
