About This Chapter
The next morning, Luisa tells the girls that she's going back to her mother's house. She's too drunk to go home, and they're all embarrassed by her behavior. Luisa says she'll let them stew in her bad mood together, and then she tells them to go back to their jobs. She doesn't want to go to the police, and she tells her friends that she wants to get home in ten minutes. When they leave, she asks them to call for a taxi, and when they do, she accuses them of cooking her goose with her. She tells them that she feels "out of sorts" and that they should come see her when things are better.
