The next day, Gu'an asks his daughter-in-law to come to his funeral. He wants to know what she's going to say to Gu, since he's her father's grandfather, and she'll be there to announce her marriage to him. Gu says that her father is his grandfather, so he'll have to explain himself to her. He'll also be mourning the death of his wife, who died with him on the deathbed, and the deaths of his husband and wife, too. Gu tells her to go now, because her uncle will be angry if he sees her there.
