This scene opens with zhisheng, the father of the dog, looking at himself in the mirror. He tells his son that the dogs have been released and that he looks good. The dog, however, is not happy to see his father. He asks his son not to invite him to the house any longer. He also tells him that he should try to make the monkey jump over the wall that he has made. The monkey is afraid that his father will kill him if he tries to do so. .
