In this short scene, the young narrator slaps the young man who has just arrived at his hotel. The young man, who we learn is Rinehart, is shocked to find that his lover is actually his real-life boyfriend. He is also horrified to learn that the man who is supposed to be his lover has already begun to slap him in the face.
