In the midst of a dance competition, sumire san murmurs to his parents that he wants to know if he ever falls in love with his partner. He asks his parents if he's ever been in love, and they tell him that it's a bad idea to talk to another's partner during a competition. He's also worried about what's going on with his new love, minami kun, and he asks to be excused from the next dance so that he can talk to his new partner. When he gets back to the dance, he finds out that sumire is in love again with minami, but that it wasn't love at all at first sight. She's still worried about him, though, and she asks him to return to his partner, but he says that he'll be fine with that. The next dance, the foxtrot, is going to be the most important dance of the competition, because it'll make sumire the star of the show. Everyone is looking at the two of them and they're dancing perfectly. They're also dancing faster and more fluid than before, which makes them look like they've been dancing for a long time. The final dance is the quickstep, and the two are dancing so well that they don't even need to dance with someone else. They just need to be themselves.
