In this chapter, we learn that the first dance of the competition was a waltz, and that the couples who danced the best received the highest marks from the judges. After the competition, we find out that the two couples that won the most points were the ones that danced the most dances. We learn that they danced the waltz in 2/4 and 4/8 seconds, and the couples that received the best marks in the first heat were the couples with the best dances in the second heat. The second heat is to be held in 2/4/5 or 2/7/8 seconds. The two couples who got the most votes were the first two couples to dance the best dance. The first couple to get the highest score was the one with the dance that was the most popular. The other couples that got the best scores were the second couple and the third couple. After dancing the waltz with the first couple, the two of them decide that they will dance the tango in the next heat. They feel that they are already good enough for the first round, but they wonder how many of the other couples were clapping for them when they danced. They wonder if they are good enough to win the second round, and they decide to get their first lesson at 17:00.
