In this short scene, Sikes asks Sikes why he is there, and Sikes tells him that he is here to pay back the debt that Sikes owes him. Sikes is amazed at Sikes generosity, and wonders if he has used all of his luck in meeting Sikes. He is also shocked to find out that he was the one who helped Sikes out with his debt. He wonders why Sikes would do such a thing, and is even more shocked when Sikes says that he does not have to pay Sikes back the money
