The scene opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter. In this scene, the narrator explains that he has just had sex with a boy who was his age. The boy is now sixteen years old, and he is in love with the girl. The narrator tells the boy that he is the only person in the world who can have sex with him, and the boy agrees. He then tells the story of the boy's mother, who was a maid, and how she was forced to give birth to a child because she could not bear the thought of having sex with the boy. She died when the boy was only three years old. She was a single mother who had to raise the boy on her own. She had no money, so the boy had to go to work as a boy to support himself and his family. He had to learn how to cook, and so he bought the boy an apron to wear as a nude one. The scene ends with the narrator saying that the boy is cute, and that he will continue to be a boy.
