Now, he says, he is going to throw his dignity away for someone else. He asks the man if he could help him one more time. The man says he would pay him back whichever way he could. He tells the narrator that he himself is not in the best position right now. He reminds the man that if he had not shown up that day, the man would have known what could have happened to him. He then tells the man to focus on paying off his debt.
