Yichen tells her that the pattern has never appeared on her back before, but that it's been there for so long that she doesn't blame her for not knowing. She also tells Yichen that he's lucky that he has a mother who loves him so much that she'll be able to protect him even if he gets into trouble. She tells him that the blood that's soaking in his veins is the blood from the moon clan, which is very rare to find in the entire world. She says that she waited many years for a member of the clan to come along, but lucked that one of them was right by her side. She's sorry that he ran away, because he was the purest kind of person she knows. She asks how she can verify his identity, and how can she draw his blood. She wonders why he'd want to have a box, since the box is supposed to be used as a weapon against the enemy. She knows that the only way to get a box is to get someone else to fight in his place. If the person in your place is already in the box, then that person is already dead. So, if you're fighting on your own, you can't get rid of someone who's already dead in order to get another person to fight on your behalf. If someone else is fighting in someone else's place, you'll have to kill someone who already has a dead body. The time for the sacrifice festival is coming up, and Yichen wants to know when it will begin.
