About This Chapter
As soon as he hears the sound of a car approaching, the young man runs out of his hiding place and runs to the white horse hotel. He tells the innkeeper that he's going to follow the couple. The innkeeper tells him that the doctor in the ambulance has said that the kid's injuries are "severe," and that his old injuries were "already rather serious." The young man is worried about the kid, but the innkeeper assures him that they'll be fine. He also tells the young woman that he doesn't care what she does for a living as long as they're married. The young woman, who he calls "Yichen bai," is all, "I don't want to be married yet, but I'm going to help you out if you need me." She's a good friend of the young girl's, and she's here to help her out. When the innkeeper tells her that the two of them can't get married yet because they haven't set a date, she says that they can try to get married, but that she'd have to spend time with them for a month to get to know each other. She also says that the young couple could try to date on the basis of marriage, but it's not a good idea because they'd need to spend a lot of time together before they can get married.
