The chapter opens on a remote island in the middle of nowhere, where the parents are waiting for their children to return. The parents are overjoyed to see their children, but they're worried that they'll be disappointed in them. They're also worried that their parents won't be proud of them for what they've done, but that they will be happy to see them again when they get home. The two children discuss what they think their parents are going to do to them, and the two decide that they need someone to tell them what to do, so they can escape. They decide to use a spray gun to break the driver's window, and then use a barrier to get back on the island.
