Once upon a time, long, long ago. This is the first chapter of the next book, and it's set in the present day. It's about a group of young people who are trying to find their way in the world. One of the young people is named Carlos, and he's in the middle of a conversation with his father, Malcom. Malcom tells Carlos that he has a message for him: his daughter, Evie, claims to be the daughter of an evil queen, and she's going to go to school with the other young people in auradon, a small town in the south of England. Carlos tells Malcom that he doesn't know where Evie is going, and Malcom warns him to be back before the school sells out. He tells his daughter that they've been chosen to live in a different school, because auradon is "filled with boys eating dogs." Malcom says that's because the school is all about "world domination" . He says that his daughter will be the "best evil princess" because she'll be able to get revenge on all the dalmatians who have escaped from auradon. He gives her a magic mirror and tells her to give it to Evie so that she can use it to find her way back to the school. He also tells her that he'll use his magic wand to help her.
