Everyone thinks that only one person is there to care for them when they come home from work. It's nice to be able to have a "wifely boyfriend" in your life, right? Well, it turns out that only "someone" was there. The narrator tells us that it's because of this guy that everyone thinks he's the one who's always been there for them. He's been cooking for them all day long, and they've been eating hand-cooked meals together. He tells them that his left hand is swollen from eating too much of a pastry, and that he needs to rest it for a few days before he can go back to work. He also tells her that they need to have her finger "healed" right away so that she won't have to worry about it later on. He says that he'll make sure to cook for her, but that she should "hug heat" until she's done cooking. She laughs and says that it looks like he was "plotting" at her. She says that she was right, and he was poking fun at her, too. She tells him that she finished her overtime early today, so she didn't see that he was trying to trick her. He doesn't sound convincing, she says, and she says that they'll have to "collapse" later on, when they're all healed, and then she can take care of him.
