Back at school, a student named Tommo asks his older brother what just happened. Tommo tells him that he was once a student like Tommo, but that a sensei showed him the right way to school. When the sensei confronted him, he did what was right. Now, he tells his brother, he's faced a student who's lost his way, and that's when a weird old man comes out of the art room and breaks the statue. The old man says something like, "Who's that?" and Tommo says he doesn't know. He's going to have a smoke, he says, but he can't see the old man's face, so he assumes it's some kind of prevert. The thud of the gong reminds Tommo of his own youth, when he was a student skipping class to smoke break windows. He asks his brother if he can help him, and he tells him to stay calm and to stay strong. He tells him not to show any weakness, because breaking a wall is a big deal. After that, the rumor of the wall-smasher starts spreading all around the school.
