In the middle of the night, the two young lovers go to bed, and when they wake up, they find that the other has gone to bed too early, and that he has fallen into the cold water. The two are shocked to discover that they have both fallen into a deep sleep, and they both realize that they are not well. They both go downstairs to change their clothes, and the young lovers are shocked at how little they know about each other's lives. When they return to their rooms, they discover that the girl who was struck in the picture has disappeared from their lives. They are both shocked to learn that she has disappeared into the darkness. They realize that she is the one who was hit in the face in the photo, and so they decide to reveal this to the public.
