The next morning, jiamei tells peng that she is looking for him. peng tells her that he and cheng are going to have dinner together, and peng asks her to come with them. She refuses, saying that she has a stomach problem and that she will have to go back to the hospital. Worried about her, peng says that he will take his car and go home. He tells cheng that he has to go home because of the stomach problem, but cheng tells him that he should worry about himself first. He says that peng is still drinking, and that he is afraid to go into the hospital because of that. Unsure of what is wrong, cheng says that his stomach is still hurting, but that he just takes care of it out of courtesy. He then tells zifei and du that they should come and visit him.
