In this chapter, we learn that xiangwang and his friend wanbao have nothing in common. They're just "friends" . . They don't have anything going on between chengrui and jiamei, but selina has come looking for them. Mr. cheng comes in to check on the situation. He says that jiang asked him to give him his regards, and that he thinks jiang deserves a chance to invite him to dinner some more time. He also says that if anything happens, jiang can report back to the vice-president. He tells Mr. Ming that he'll go to dinner if he has time, but that if there isn't anything else going on, he's going to leave. Worried that his daughter has fallen asleep with cheng-rui, he asks her why she's hanging around outside. She says that she just came to report on her work, and she doesn't want him to see her hanging around with him. She's not jealous, she says, because she and cheng have slept together already, and it's embarrassing if he sees them hanging around together. She asks him if he would like to meet his daughter, and he says that he would. He asks her if she has a mild and pretty daughter. She replies that she does, and they'll meet in the bedroom.
