Seung-hyun comes over every day, and Yonhap reports that his grandmother has told him to take care of him. Yonhap says that he can play outside after he is all cured, but that he cannot because of his father's insistence that he stay indoors. He tells Yonhap that he used to be a little boy, and that he was hopeless because of the despair that he felt because of Dong-hwa's return. He says that humans are hard to understand, but he was special because he could do things others couldn't. He asks Yonhap why he was in despair, and he says that it was because of that child that he chased away because he was so hopeless. He also says that Yonhap didn't like to see that the child's destiny was different from that of his own. He adds that if he had lied to him, his relationship would have ended long ago. He promises that he will make an offer to Yonhap while he is at it, and if he accepts, he will connect the threads of their relationship. He wants to know if the child will ever come back, but Yonhap admits that it will never happen. He knows that he is using Yonhap to possess him, and says that without Yonhap, he is nothing. Only one day has passed since he disappeared, and there is only three days until the exam. He can wait, he says, and wait for the police officers to arrive for the exam, and then he will tell Yonhap the next news.
