The narrator says that he can see the "red thread of destiny" and that he has enough powers to do so. He tells his mom that the person who has moved to New York has already spread the rumor that she is a "shaman." He tells her that when she turned 25 years old, she met his father, who left the family right after he was born. She believed that if she kept the secret, the truth would be revealed, and the two of them were rejected. The narrator tells his mother that he was "a child abandoned by his father. He says that his mom is "a shaman. It doesn't mean me a psychic, but people don"t care. He goes to his room and tells his friends to come and hang out with him.
