In this chapter, we learn that Romeo has been fired from his job, and that he is now living on a boat with his friends. Lifei, one of Romeo's friends, has come to visit him, and she tells the others that she is the "angel of life" and that she knows every soul that has ever been created. She tells them that Romeo is in love with her, and they all eat ice cream together.
