In the middle of the night, Hiro and the rest of the men return to the mine. They find that the real miners have returned home, and that the fake hugo has been locked away in a cell far away from the mine, where he is not even aware of what has happened. The real hugo thanks the men for their help in the mission, and they are glad that they are all alive. Everyone is gathered, and Hiro says that he has thrown away his ambitions of becoming a superstar in order to protect his love for his wife.
