About This Chapter
The next morning, Devera wakes up and tells us that everything is fine. She's feeling pretty good about herself, though she's not sure what's going on. She says that she feels like she has passed out again, but that she doesn't have to do anything to get out of it. Devera tells us she has created a "magic" that will protect her family and friends from harm. She wants to make sure that they don't think of her as some kind of supernatural being. She tells Devera that she can't go back to her job because she'll never be able to find a half-hour from the village with all of her experiences. She asks Devera if she believes in fairies, and Devera says she does. She promises to party every night with Devera, and promises that she will always be Devera's "medea my king" . She also promises that Devera will never change her muse, even if she has to sacrifice some of her own family to do so.
