In this chapter, we learn that Eve has already given birth to three of her own children, and that she is pregnant with a fourth. The archangel tells us that the women of the human race are pathetic, especially the ones who are trying to protect their babies. He tells them that he will be damned in hell, but that his own children will be spared. He asks the archangel if he is badly hurt, and the archangel tells him that he is. He then tells the archangel to go back outside and wait for him. He says that he knows he is in the wrong place, and he will rip him to shreds if he tries to escape.
