About This Chapter
"Tick tock poppy" is the title of this chapter's opening dialogue. It's a bit of a slap in the face for the dog, who has lost his master and is now being adopted by his new owner. He's upset that the new owner didn't bring him to his new home, but he's also upset that his family hates dogs. He wants to know why his family is forcing him to sacrifice his family for a dog he doesn't even like. He also wants to make sure that his parents don't tell him to throw his family away. He promises to take care of the dog forever. He tells her to go to her parents and get them to agree to let him stay with them. She tells her parents that she'll never get married to the son of her former boyfriend, who threw away the dog and hurt her family. He was sentenced to a year in prison for "property damaging crime" , but the dog's owner isn't the same person as her former owner. She's actually nicer to the dog than her old one was. She promises to bring the dog to her new home.
