The next morning, we find out that the king has woken up early, and that he's been invited to tea with the Duke of York. The Duke is all, "Fine, I'll be there for tea." He's not worried about the fact that no one will find out about their secret love affair. He says that he and the king have been delaying their love affair for two years because they didn't want people to suspect that they were in love.
