The next morning, Bolingbroke asks the Governess if she'd be willing to go for a brunch with him. The Governess says that she's already had breakfast, but that her majesty has ordered seven different kinds of cakes for him. He's on a strict military diet, so she doesn't have the opportunity to have desserts. He tells her that he's been trying to get her father's father to open up his business to foreign trade, and that's why he wants to know more about it.
