They believed that humans were the only ones who could do such a thing, and they would set everyone free and kill a king. Petra is so sorry that the khelone didn't kill the king. She thinks that the king must have been killed by surprise, since he was considered the "most powerful king" in the land. She also thinks that it was a "quick attack" . The "khelone" was wearing armor and blonde hair, and she knew how to act fast and avoid any kind of reaction. She says that the "raimun and catline" are back, and that they are back because the king was killed. The people need to choose the next king, but they don't have the power to do so. They need to make a royal selection with a "imminent threat" by the kholones, and the possibility that other kings will be killed. This makes it impossible for them to do anything like this, since the people will be angry if they find out that they're making important decisions internally.
