The chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which we learn that Kitty and the other children have gone to visit the caveman, who is now dead. Kitty is still wearing her mask, and she tells the others that she has come to find the little sister, who has been kidnapped by the cavemen. She tells them that they should not worry, because they have found the place where the little girl will be reunited with her sister. The cavemen, however, have come to take the girl away from Kitty, and Kitty tells them to hurry up and save the girl.
