Hiroyuki asks if he can give him a little more time to prove himself, and the narrator says that she can give her a trial period, which is a discount on the price of a year's worth of food. The narrator says she'll give him some cookies and cream to celebrate, and then she tells him that she's heard that he has become a couple with Hiroyuki. She says that Hiroyuki has told her that he likes her, and that they're now in a "trial period" . She tells the narrator that she has seen this happen before, when a friend of hers falls in love with another person, but they don't fall in love until the other person starts to date her. She adds that she thinks it's "pretty pathetic" that she pushed Hiroyuki into it, and she wonders why he seems to think of her as a threat. He says he'll go along with her to see how Hiroyuki loves her.
