The next morning, the two men go to investigate the disappearance of the "Me" from the park. When they arrive, they find that the two women have gone to the spring nest. The two men are surprised to learn that the woman they thought they saw in the park is still alive. They decide to search the nest for the creature, but they are interrupted by the sound of the men's voices. The men leave, and the women wonder if it is okay for them to watch the men leave. The women decide that it is better to be a member of the prison cage than to let the man escape.
