Dr. Sing is furious that he didn't kill the prisoner. He even brought the prisoner in to get her treated. He's not giving up on her, he says, and she's just not worth his hatred. He tells himself that he's probably a higher class person than he is, and that's why he doesn't want to deal with her. He asks if the prisoner's mother is at the hospital, and the doctor says she is. The doctor says that one of the prisoners has a fake collar on, which is like a dog's collar, and he can't even be a dead dog. He says that the fake collar looks like it's going to take a lot for him to kill the dog, but it looks like he'll be able to do it anyway.
