This chapter opens with a flashback to Hiroyuki's childhood, during which Hiroyuki and his friend yoshimi are playing the piano together. Hiroyuki tells his friend that he has grown up into a man, and that he wants Hiroyuki to be a nursery teacher like his mother. He asks Hiroyuki if he can show him the piano, and Hiroyuki says that it is not his room, but that he is playing for his children. He tells Hiroyuki that he needs to learn how much he can play the piano before he is able to play for his own children.
