The lieutenant tells the others to go to the shelter, but the noble dragon refuses to go. He says that he would rather die on the battlefield than stay behind and wait for the humans to die. The lieutenant says that the plan is far enough away from the battlefield that they can take it with them. The noble dragon asks why the humans are fighting against him, and the lieutenant replies that he is fighting against them because they are "despicable, lowly humans" . He then asks why they are leaving to help with the fight against the humans, and they reply that they will be too big a target if they continue following the crowd
