The young woman is worried that her back will be hard to get well, so she tells us to stay still and not to eat too much. She also tells us how long it has been since she last had someone take care of her. She says that even at home, she is usually alone, so it must be a long time since she had someone to care for her. The girl says that she had a nightmare when she was taken back home by a heavy drinker. She promises that she won't force herself to drink any more.
