In this chapter, we learn that the bar owner is drunk, and that he is about to get into a fight with the barmaid. The barmaid tries to calm him down, but he is too drunk to do so. He asks her to free his neck, but she is too embarrassed to do it. He is looking at her, and she brushes his chest with her bare hands.
