In this chapter, Lingling explains that he and his brother killed the parents of Chen Ming and stole their property. He tells Lingling that if he wants to continue the story, he should kill Chen Ming. Lingling tells him that they should have killed Chen Ming the day she said she would be moving out of the house, but Lingling refuses to believe him.
