The next morning, the young man wakes up to find that his old friend is dead. He tells the boy to wake up and tell him what's going on. The young man wants to know why he hasn't taken a picture of himself since he got back from the war. He asks the boy why he didn't take one when he returned from the front. The boy tells him that he'll get another chance someday.
