In this short scene, the young man is introduced to his new friend, chen ming. . The young man asks chen to take him to her house for the night so that he can sleep in her room and she will take care of him the next morning. He tells chen that he has spent all of his money the previous two days and that he wants to report the incident to the police. He also tells yun that he is going to tell the police about the incident because he is a "scent sort of freak" and he is afraid that if the police find out that he assaulted the girl, yun will be sentenced to prison. He then tells wang that he was ugly when they were at school and that wang laughed at him because he was a "beauty when she grew up" . He asks wang to stay with him that night and he tells him to go with him to meet some of his female classmates. He says that he only gets in touch with female classmates because they are good looking and nice and he would like to meet them as well. He adds that he also wants to introduce himself to his mistress, who he says is "hideous" and "has never bought him anything" , and he asks yun if she is his mistress and yun tells him that she is not and that they are fooling around with each other. Worried that his son is spending too much money on a woman, shang's father scolds him for spending his money on such a "black sheep" and wonders if his son's "project" is a billion-dollar one.
