About This Chapter
In this short scene, Huck is interrupted by his subordinate, who tells him that he is being constantly violated by his master. Huck tells his master to twitch so that he will not be reminded of him. He tells him to make it "so that you cant forget me" . Huck realizes that he has violated his master by returning the ring to his mother. He is so happy that the ring has come back to him, and he apologizes to Huck for breaking the ring when he returned it to her. Huck asks why the ring is there, and the woman explains that she does not need it anymore, and that she has seen someone around 50 years old with it. The woman tells Huck that her mother told her that she was an orphan, and she did not want to give the ring back to her because she was not good enough for her son. She told Huck that she had broken the ring, and Huck tells himself that he had told her the truth, and then believed her.
