About This Chapter
In this chapter, we are introduced to the sadistic president of the United States, who is also known as "the masochistic secretary" or "the sadistic president" . We learn that the president is a sadistic man, and that he is a masochist because he is the president's secretary. The secretary, however, is not afraid of losing her job, because she knows that she is not a threat to the president. The two discuss the situation, and the secretary realizes that she has been mistaken all along. She is glad that she came to work for the president, because it was convenient for her to be around him. She also realizes that he has been wrong all along, and she wishes that she had not been mistaken. The president tells her that everyone is talking about how brave she is, and how she has stuck to her job for a month. He says that he was worried when he first heard of the news, but he is now happy that he will not have to continue working for him. He asks her why she is quitting, and her answer is that she abused her power as a secretary and asked for it. She admits that she was too excited at the time, but that it was because she wanted to be his queen. She says that she began to see the president through his eyes and that she could not work with him anymore. She tells the president that she will never leave him.
