The next morning, Soji wakes up in the middle of the night. He's been up all night worrying about what's going to happen to Soji when he wakes up the next morning. He doesn't want to wake up Soji, but he does want to make sure that he's okay. He tells Soji to get ready to go to bed, because he'll be back in the morning.
