On the third day of his third year at Shimarakashi Academy, Subaru Houjou, a student who has just transferred to the school, meets his new roommate. He is surprised to find that he is happy to be at the school and that he has been accepted into the university. He tells his roommate that he wants to talk to him about his feelings for the Queen, but the other students in the room refuse to listen to him.
