The narrator arrives at the renovation company's office, where he finds that things have changed. He's surprised to find that things are getting dirty. He wants to know why they're doing it all at once. The narrator tells the company that he'll pay part of the renovation cost. He also tells them to take it easy on the renovation team. He says that after everything is done, they'll have to rent the place out twice. He tells the story of how in fairytales, evil always happens. He asks the narrator to keep an extra eye on the marriage. He suggests that the narrator just propose to her.
