In this chapter, the monk explains how the clan uses the universal bag to convert labor to gold. He explains that each clan has its own way of using the bag, and outsiders are not allowed to use it. The monk also explains that once a person enters monasticism, he or she must cut off all ties with the outside world. He or she will have to earn the labor coins to enter the monastic system.
